Enes Kanter joined Seafood Nutrition Partnership Wednesday for their Oklahoma kickoff party.
The opening event, introducing the organization’s pursuit of heart health to Oklahomans, featured Kanter. Kanter shared the many ways Seafood Nutrition Partnership’s mission of integrating seafood into a balanced diet as a means of improving heart health impacts his own life.
“As an athlete, it is important for me to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Of course, I rely on basketball to help keep me fit. I make sure to stay active, get enough sleep, drink a lot of water and eat healthy foods,” Kanter said. “All of these habits are crucial, but maintaining a balanced diet is equally important, and seafood plays a huge role in accomplishing essential nutrition.”
In addition to his speech, Kanter joined locally renowned chef Chris Becker to prepare some delicious seafood dishes for event attendees. Guests were excited to see Kanter and Becker, and enthusiastic about the organization’s health-focused mission.
With its Oklahoma partnership officially in full swing, Seafood Nutrition Partnership hopes to improve the lives of Oklahomans by encouraging seafood consumption as a healthy lifestyle choice.
“I’m very excited to welcome the partnership to Oklahoma,” Kanter said, “and can’t wait to see the positive effects they have on our nutrition and overall lives.”
