To be eligible for the sixth man of the year award a player needs to play more games off the bench compared to being in the starting line up. While there are quality players coming off the bench such as: Ryan Anderson, Will Barton, and Victor Oladipo, many believe the race is left to two individuals, Enes Kanter & Jeremy Lin.
Enes Kanter is currently averaging 11.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. While Jeremy Lin is averaging just 1 more point per game over Enes. It is clear that Enes plays on a far superior team which is considered by many analysts as a premier team if not a contender for the championship.
If Enes goes on to win the sixth man of the year award he would become only the second player in OKC history to win it after James Harden won it in 2011-2012.
