After spending the first three and a half years of his career with the Utah Jazz, Enes Kanter treated his trade to the Oklahoma City Thunder last year like the best thing that ever happened to him. In his exit from Utah, Kanter didn’t have any complimentary things to say about the Jazz or Salt Lake City, instead seemingly putting down the entire organization and their fans. Because of his comments, Kanter was loudly booed by Jazz fans when the Thunder visited Utah last season.

Not wanting to be the villain anymore, Kanter told reporters before the Thunder took on the Jazz on Monday night that his previous comments about the team were “a little harsh.”

Kanter also said that he was happy in Oklahoma City and that the trade worked out for both the Jazz and Thunder.

It truly sounds like Kanter realized he made a mistake by commenting negatively about the Jazz last year. At 23 years old, Kanter is still very young, so maybe his comments last year was just a youthful mistake by the Thunder center.

“I just want to make it clear,” Kanter told reporters according to KSL.com’s Andy Larsen. “I had no problems with any of the players or any of the fans.”
