Kanter scored 14 points (6-12 FG, 2-2 FT) while adding a team-high 13 rebounds in 26 minutes off the bench during Friday’s loss to the Bulls.
He was the only Thunder player to score in double-digits other than Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, as Kanter recorded his fourth double-double in the last six games. Steven Adams played an ineffective 13 minutes as the starting center in the Christmas Day loss, but barring an injury to Adams it doesn’t seem as though Kanter’s role off the bench is going to increase any time soon.
